This quote by Italian poet Cesar Pavese is frequently Pinned. I think it strikes a chord with people when they are feeling nostalgic. It’s easy to get swept up practicalities and details when planning a “perfect day” with your family, but years later, it’s really just a few moments here or there that stick. The look on your child’s face as the fireworks begin, the touch of your husband’s hand on your back as you take in the sights. Every once in awhile, things fall into place and life fits just right.
This is what I keep in mind when editing videos for my slideshows. It’s tempting to want to show the entire event, but not really necessary. Almost every event has a certain moment that stands out, that captures the emotions of the day, that brings you right back. The trick is finding that moment!
